in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. He was also among the first three LASlK
surgeons in
Dallas/Fort Worth to use a microkeratome. The microkemtwne (a surgical tool often
cmpclred to a miniature

of the surgeon. Dr. Boothe has

William Boothe was born in Liberty, Texas. He graduated
from Rice Un'kersity with
honors, earned his medical degree at Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, and
completed
his residency at Texas Tech University Medical School of Ophthalmology.
He completed a cornea fellowship at Jules Skin
Eye InstiMe (University of California
Lor Angeles Medicol School), where he specialized in refractive surgery.
Board
Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, he is o member of
numerous medical associations, including the American
Medical Associaiion, the Texas
Medical Assaciation, the Texas Ophthalmological Association, the Texas Medical
Foundation,
the Dallas Academy of Ophthalmology, the Dallas County Medicol
Society, the International Society of Refrodive Surgery,
the American Society of
Cataract and refract.^ Surgery. He is also o Fellow of the American Acoderny of
Ophthalmology.
Outside
of his medical coreer, Dr. Boothe has also been involved in many community
services, such as the Rotory Club, church
activities, numerous charities, and the Tom
Landry Classic - youth sports scholarship sponsarships. Dr. Boothe is also
an active
patron of the ork in Dallas and Fort Worth.
